Maureen Bond

Forgotten

Maureen Bond’s motivation for photography comes from her pleasure in the quest to notice things; she is thrilled to stand before something seemingly ordinary and to find something extraordinary about it. Bond explains her shooting method: “In the pursuit of my images, she is always mindful that even familiar locations can hold fascinating-ly new perspectives. She often travels with a small assortment of cameras to help photograph places in creative and new ways.”

About her Forgotten series Bond comments, “Life happened here. Babies were born, family members passed away. The people are gone but the stories are not. Left in a state of arrested decay...some things will never be forgotten.”
